All bookings have a 24-hour grace period, within which guests can cancel their reservations free of charge.
After this period of grace, the guest can cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival. The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel within 30 days of arrival. If the guest doesn’t show up, they’ll be charged the total price of the reservation.
After booking the guest will receive an e-mail and/or SMS message from us confirming the reservation and explaining the apartment details inside a booking voucher. The guest will be invited to fill in an Accommodation Bulletin form that is demanded by Portuguese Law for all foreign guests.
The Pre-Check-in form filled during booking will ask the total number of people staying in the apartment, so we can provide the right quantity of bed linens and bath towels. Special requests should be made in advance through the send us a messagein the sidebar and are limited to availability at that time.
If the reservation is made through means other than the website, the guest must inform the number of guests, check-in and check-out date, and pets in the travel party. If the guest fails to do so, they will be charged with the maximum capacity of the apartment (4 guests).
Sun with Style cannot assume any responsibility if the guest fails to fill in the Pre-check-in form. All information provided to Sun with Style in the Pre-Check-in form (check-in and check-out date, transfer prices) is saved in our database for the legally required period. Any attempt to change it and violate the original information will invalidate the Pre-Check-in form and will be subject to reservation cancellation.
Number of Guests
Guests must indicate the exact number of guests on the Pre-check-in form. No additional guests other than those specified during the booking may stay in the accommodation. The number of people who may use the apartment should not exceed the amount indicated on the apartment page. If the number of guests exceeds the informed number, Sun with Style reserves the right to require guests to leave the apartment immediately, without any compensation or refund of fees paid.
Arrival and Check-in
Unless otherwise agreed in advance, check-in will start at 13:00. The apartment keys will be on site in a Lockbox, or upon the guest requests delivered by a staff member. All contacts will be supplied via E-mail after booking confirmation. It is the guest responsibility to check their email on the day before the arrival to collect contact data and the Lockbox Code. The hosts or staff may request the presentation of the identity cards/passports of all persons who are going to stay at the apartment.
Payments are made at the moment of reservation. Any extraordinary outstanding payments upon arrival must be paid to the Sun with Style staff in cash (Euros) during check-in at the latest. Any Sun with Style staff member has the right to cancel the reservation if the guest refuses to pay the full due amount at check-in.
When guests check in, Sun with Style will provide one set of keys only. Guests must be careful not to lose it or leave it inside the apartment. Additional fees will be charged for lost keys or lock-outs. Fees are charged as follows: Lost Keys (price per key) and hiring a locksmith service. The guest will be responsible for the full fee charged by the service provider. The service provider’s fee is based on the complexity, materials, time spent, and other variables. Please be advised that it may take up to 45 minutes for our staff to arrive to assess the situation and take action. Guests must return all keys on departure.
Appliances and Amenities
All of the apartment appliances and amenities are described in the guest book. Sun with Style cannot provide any item that is not listed (e.g. cribs, baby utensils, TV sets). All the appliances are checked for proper functionality before the guest’s arrival. The guests are responsible for all appliances during their stay. Any damage that results from improper handling or care will be billed to the guest after their departure unless voluntarily regulated between the guest and host before the time of departure.
Departure and Check-out
Check-out is until 10:00 (unless otherwise agreed), and all guests must leave the apartment by the check-out time. Guests must inform Sun with Style of the desired check-out time so a staff member can be present for check-out. In case a Sun with Style staff member cannot be present at check-out time, the guest is allowed to leave the keys in the mailbox or the lockbox. Guests who fail to leave before 10:00 am will be charged an additional full-day accommodation fee. If the guest refuses to leave, Sun with Style reserves the right to enter the accommodation, remove their belongings, change the locks, and also to take further action as may be necessary. (The guest will be charged for all costs of any such action.)
Items Left in the Apartment
Sun with Style is not responsible for any items left inside the apartment or its dependencies. Any belongings found will be returned upon request. The guest is fully responsible for all charges related to the process of getting back their belongings.
Maintance of the Apartment During Your Stay
Any problems inside the apartment (eg. electric problems, equipment malfunction, water leaks), must be reported to our Customer Care by email or telephone immediately. Sun with Style commits to its best efforts to solve such problems within a reasonable timeframe. This timeframe depends on the nature of the problem and the availability of specialized services. While respecting the reasonable privacy of the guests, Sun with Style reserves the right to access the property at all times if necessary for inspections, repairs, and emergencies.
Guests must notify Sun with Style of any damage to the accommodation, contents, fixtures, equipment, appliance or fittings that occur during the stay, even if the guest considers the damage to be regular wear and tear and even if the guest doesn’t believe the damage is his or her fault. If the guest does not notify Sun with Style of any such damage, the guest will be liable for such damage up to the cost of a full replacement. The guest agrees to be charged for damage within 60 days after departure and commits to paying the full amount for goods and services damaged within 14 days of notification.
The service of Sun with Style is legally limited to the apartment and the relationship with guests during the stay. Sun with Style shall not be responsible for any occurrences outside the boundaries of the apartment such as (but not limited to):
The building cleaning and maintenance, outside noises, construction, neighbors, or any other issue not directly related to the apartment itself.
The photos and descriptions of the apartment are produced and reviewed by the owners. Minor changes in the apartment may occur compared to the pictures on the website, without compromising the overall condition and amenities. Sun with Style will not compensate guests, refund fees, or relocate guests to other apartments based on taste or the likeness of the apartment. It is the responsibility of our guests to assure, before booking, that the area or neighborhood they choose to stay in is to their liking.
Sun with Style shall not be responsible for any damage, caused directly or indirectly, that may occur during the stay of the guests in the apartment, such as (but not limited to): injury to a person or possessions, theft, or criminal behavior, losses due to fire or misconduct, etc. In case any such events or activities take place inside the apartment, guests must inform the hosts immediately. The same applies to any deficiencies in the supply of gas, electricity, water, telephone, or internet. Sun with Style is not responsible for potential delays, accidents, loss, or change of schedule or rates that are related to our supplier’s services.
Sun with Style and its staff are not responsible for errors and omissions, misrepresentation by third parties, disputes between a guest and a third party, or the content of external links other than the one on which the booking took place. In the event guests fail to comply with these terms and conditions, or in the case of misbehavior by the guests, Sun with Style reserves the right to require guests to leave the apartment without any compensation or refund of fees paid.
Unusual Situations and Other Legal Issues
This agreement is between the guest and Sun with Style’s imprint-impressum legal representatives. This agreement is a license to occupy the accommodation during the agreed-upon period. Guests are not tenants of the accommodation and have not been granted exclusive possession of the accommodation. Guests are renting the accommodation under a license of occupation. In the rare case that an apartment that is booked becomes unavailable, due to damage from a water leak, for example, or by any circumstance beyond our control, Sun with Style will not be liable for the inconvenience caused, however, we will take any necessary steps to relocate the guest to an apartment with similar characteristics. If the guest doesn’t accept the relocation, the total amount (excluding costs related to the days when the apartment was used by the guest, if applicable) will be refunded, but Sun with Style won’t be liable to the guest for any further amount in respect to the cancellation of the booking.
About the Terms and Conditions
Sun with Style reserves the right to update its terms and conditions at any time as required. It is the responsibility of parties using the service to review these terms and conditions in case of changes before making a booking.
These terms and conditions don’t affect the guest’s consumer statutory rights.
Sun with Style is based in Portugal, these conditions are subject to Portuguese law.
The Portuguese Courts shall have sole jurisdiction in the event of legal action concerning any accommodation booking with Sun with Style.
